FRITO-LAY SHOPPER PROGRAMS

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2
KROGER PROGRAM

For Kroger's custom shopper program we created our very own Doritos Guardians bag design that shoppers scanned to view exclusive behind the scenes video footage from the movie. at our unique microsite.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 ALBERTSON'S PROGRAM

To create something unique to Albertson's for the Guardians movie, we developed a custom microsite where shoppers could go to win free tickets to the Guardians movie. In addition we built a custom display and digital banners and social elements.

BATMAN VS SUPERMAN
KROGER PROGRAM

A really fun project for me was to create custom glow-in-the-dark bags that were exclusive to Kroger stores. The hardest part was the constant back and forth with the movie marketing folks over what we could and could not do. But in the end we had something Kroger was really happy with and could showcase to their shoppers. It was also supported with a short promo video on Kroger.com.

BATMAN VS SUPERMAN
REGIONAL MARKETS PROGRAM

For smaller grocery chains in regional markets we built a simple easy to built text-to-win program where shoppers could win exclusive prizes and product discounts. Custom graphics and scalable displays with a microsite showcased the program.

DOLLAR GENERAL PROGRAM

For Dollar General,  we came up with the idea of giving away collectible comics to create buzz and sell additional bags. Shoppers simply took a photo of their chips receipt and selected one of three comics to be sent to them. Supported by a custom display, microsite, digital toolkit, and comic ads.

One of the coolest things we were able to do was to custom modify the book covers and place ads in actual comic books to help get the word out among comic fans.

AVENGERS
DOLLAR GENERAL PROGRAM

An early push into augmented reality, Doritos bags were badged with one of four unique stickers that when peeled back revealed one of the Avengers badges. Dollar General shoppers viewed the badges with their phone to reveal a 3D action figure.

FRITO-LAY CUSTOM SHOPER DISPLAYS

For a Frito-Lay Back-To-School program way back in 2009, I came up with the idea of turning the standard pallet & TMD shelf units into the shape of a standard school bus. We went out and did a photoshoot on an real school bus with kids, showing mini stories relating to going to school. The "bus" was so successful it became the go-to format for many subsequent years. I learned a lot on this project.

When the assignment for creating a Super Bowl display, I knew I wanted the then-new Cowboys Stadium with it's unique look to be the hero. Many sketches later the client signed off on what went to execution - turning the entire display into the stadium using a simple dress-up kit.

For a custom take on the Lay's Do Us A Flavor national campaign at Kroger. The unique prize was free groceries for a year, so I turned the pallet display we had to work with into a giant grocery bag full of groceries. It really stood out from all the generic yellow Lay's displays in their competitor's stores.
